Terms of Service

Effective date: 22 August 2026

Entity: OpenBooks

1. Acceptance of terms

The OpenBooks Console (the “Service”) is an internal staff tool used by authorised bank and underwriting personnel to review SME businesses and record loan decisions. By accessing the Service you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Authorised use

Access is granted on a role basis and is limited to the businesses and functions your role permits. You must not attempt to access data outside your assigned scope, share your credentials, or use the Service for any purpose other than your legitimate work duties.

3. Human-only loan decisions

Credit scores and AI-generated overviews are decision-support information only. Every loan approval or rejection recorded in the Service is a human decision made by an authorised underwriter. The Service does not auto-approve or auto-reject any application.

4. Data accuracy and confidentiality

  • Treat all business, financial, and applicant information as strictly confidential.
  • Record assessments truthfully and keep your rationale complete and accurate.
  • Report any suspected data error or security incident to your administrator promptly.

5. Availability

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it for maintenance or operational reasons without prior notice.

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

7. Contact

Questions about these Terms should be directed to your OpenBooks administrator.
